Located in one of Windermere’s most historic buildings, Brown Sugar started life as a chemist in 1877. It has operated as various businesses over the years, but when we acquired it in 2017, there was work to do! We’ve peeled back the layers of this stunning building to restore it to its former glory. The result is a light, modern and vibrant space that has become the very focus of Windermere Village.
Freshly Cultivated Ingredients
Our skilful team of six chefs have worked hard to create a delectable, locally-sourced menu, and there’s plenty to inspire. From breakfast, to brunch, to dinner, dishes such as avocado spinach benedict; brie, wild mushroom and caramelised pizza, or fresh scallops with chargrilled cauliflower, pine kernels, limes and cress dressing make up an imaginative and varied menu, with bespoke cocktails, local ales, wines and spirits flowing from our two bars. We have even installed a cultivator to provide our kitchens with fresh basil, rocket and pea shoots.Read More
